Organised by the team at The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation and sponsored by nationwide service directory Wedding Monkey, the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards are a brand new and unique prize giving, honoring local wedding suppliers in Bristol and Somerset for the very first time. Services and suppliers will be judged on their overall standard, product or service quality, value for money, and commitment to each wedding, recognising the complete breadth of the wedding industry.
Being catered by local company Strawberry Field Catering the awards are being organised in aid of the The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, an exceptional local charity.
The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation
Founded in January 2012 by Naomi Thomas, The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation helps those affected by terminal and life limiting illness to experience the wedding day of their dreams. To achieve this they rely on monetary contributions, as well as donations of items and services from members of the public and local suppliers.
Naomi, who will be judging these unique awards, says, “This is such an exciting occasion for us. For the first time we are able to recognise the terrific services offered by local suppliers, helping to reward their hard work and dedication to the wedding industry. The awards are also a great way to raise awareness of the Foundation and the work that we do. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go towards helping even more couples to experience the wedding of their dreams, which is so important to us. The suppliers we work with provide such a valuable service; it would be fantastic to have a few more on board.”
Entering the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards
Free to enter, the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards are open to any wedding supplier in a BS, BA & TA postal area. Anyone can nominate a company, including couples or suppliers themselves; simply visit the dedicated registration page and enter the supplier’s details, which will then be added to the list of nominees.
Registering your vote
From bridal boutiques to florists, and confectioners to wedding car providers, there are so many suppliers behind the scenes at every wedding day; If you would like to recognise the hard work of a supplier that you feel made an outstanding contribution to your special day, as well as leaving them valuable feedback to help them continue their exceptional services, please visit the Bristol and Somerset Wedding Awards website to cast your vote. Voting is open to all couples whose weddings are due to take place between the 16 December 2012 and the 16 December 2013, although your wedding must have occurred prior to your vote being cast.
Date for entries closes on 7 Feb & the closing date to register your vote is the 14 February 2013. All winners will be revealed during a glittering awards ceremony on the 28 February 2014; Tickets to this event will cost £45.00 per person which includes a 3 course meal and evening of entertainment.
